The Morton family was so blessed to attend this conference recently! It was wonderful hearing from many different men about how God's word is sufficient for every area of life! We also had the pleasure of seeing some of our dear friends whom we have not been able to see in a while, as well as our friends who we do get to see more regularly. :)
Soon after our arrival, we met up with the dear D. family.....

Daddy had lost his Day Timer (which had very important information in it), and so the D.'s helped us search for it. All glory to God, we happened to find it sitting in the lobby, right where Daddy had set it down!

We had the opportunity to attend the movie premier of "The Mysterious Islands". It was a very well-made movie that brought out Biblical Truths. After the movie, some of the cast and crew came on stage. They told some behind-the-scenes stories about how God blessed them in the making of the movie and worked in the lives of many!
Afterward, we saw that little miss Elizabeth (along with some others) had fallen asleep :)
The conference really made us think about the way we view all of life, and caused us to ask ourselves if we let the world set the standard for us, or if God's Word sets our standards.

Various men talked about the Sufficiency of Scripture in so many areas, covering: The Church, The Family, Manhood and Womanhood, Worship, Sanctification, Faith and Character, Evangelism, Education, and many others! With 36 lectures, you can imagine the vast areas discussed! To see more info about the conference (and to purchase the tapes!), you can go here.
Yay! Pictures! We got some decent ones but apparently we were doing a lot more talking and a lot less picture taking : ).
ReplyDeleteWe had a wonderful time as well! It was so nice to see and meet all the lovely Ohio people that we don't get to see very often!
I must say, I really appreciated the walk down to the restaurant even though we didn't get to eat there. My muscles were starting to waste away from sitting in those chairs too long : )! When we finally got it, the pizza was wonderful and the P.'s hospitality was so nice! Thank you P. family!!!
I also loved the experience of going up and down and up and down and up and down and up and down in the elevator ending with the infamous "um...Girls...why did we come back up here?" line : ). Sorry Sarah dear, couldn't resist : ).
We really enjoyed the movie too! We were really impressed with the quality and the message was so good!
Well, I think I could keep commenting all night but I suppose I must stop.
Thanks for posting and it was SOOO wonderful to get to see you!! Lord willing, we'll see you again as soon as possible!
Gee! I wish my family could have gone. :D Thanks for sharing all those pictures.
