"The Two Shall Become One"...

What a joy and honor it was to witness a marriage between two very precious people! Our family has known the bride and her parents for many, many years and have pioneered in in several endeavors together!

Happy Birthday, Grandma!

For Grandma's birthday, we went to our favorite restaurant with her and Uncle David.

Grandma and her choice dish of the evening

One of the best pizzas ever. "Pizza isn't a good-enough word for it. It's like an open-faced Chicago-style sandwich." ~ Uncle David

Uncle David's dinner was simply delectable (he kindly allowed me to try a bite of his in exchange for a sampling of my pizza. Isn't it fun to do that sometimes?!)

Mumzie and Daddy

Our attentive waitress brought Grandma a complimentary birthday cake! While it was very, very thoughtful and delicious, there was only a slight problem....

...we had cake at our house, too! We ended up having small pieces of the restaurant's cake, and (ahem) "normal" size pieces of our cake. Tea made a lovely addition to the experience. (My British blood showing through :)

All in all, a lovely evening celebrating a very special person's birthday. Love you, Grandma!

New Year's Eve

In God's providence, New Year's Eve happened to fall on one of our Bible study nights, so our group decided to make a bigger ado than usual (spending more time visiting, having lots more food, etc.)

Mrs. Alexander thought this would be a perfect time to get some portraits of their family, and asked us to help (we were more than happy to comply :)

Mother and Daughter (Our family also took advantage of this picture-taking opportunity :)

Britt-Ann

(While I did not get a portrait of every member in the Alexander family, I did get a few, and am posting my personal favorite shots of each.)

It looks like I was a bit too distracted with the fellowship to keep up with my camera...ah, well. We always have the memories :)

*Compliments to Mrs. Alexander. There are other pictures in this post taken by the Alexanders, but having combined their and my pictures, I am not sure which are theirs and which are mine :)
