A Peep into What the Morton's Have Been Up To..

~Dinner with Grandpa and Grandma~
What's this? I believe it is another butter mess in the oven :) We are very thankful that this incident was not nearly as bad as the other one, and did not cause the smoke alarms to go off. :)

Cleaning....

..and cleaning! Thanks for you help, Grandma!

~The view outside our windows for awhile~

Roadwork. Isn't it lovely when the city decides to work on your road in the dead of winter so you have to park your car elsewhere and climb through mud and snow to get to it?! Well, maybe "climb" is a little bit of exaggeration, but it felt like we were climbing sometimes :)

Pouring dirt

Moving dirt

Big equipment

The hole right in front of our steps

~Dinner one evening~
Mumzie enjoying the fire while Daddy....

Grills our dinner! (yes, we actually grill with snow on the ground :D)

Daddy and Me
Every cook reserves the right to taste their food before serving :)

~Trip to the A.'s store~

Some of the kids were playing in the snow when we arrived. As you can see, one was more than happy to pose, while the other was throwing snowballs at me :)

~Dinner with Grandma, Aunt Beth, and some cousins~

We visited "Brendan's Chocolate Corner" to purchase some chocolate!
"I want to be a real cowboy girl..."

Eden!

Too cute!

Grandma and her *gasp* CAT?????!!! :D

Aha... Grandma and her dog. Looks much better. :)

Brendan and Eden

Brendan made a maze game with pillows and an ottoman! 3 toys would be hidden along the maze and they had to be found by the person going through the maze.

Yay! Brendan found all the toys!

So did Natalie!

Yes, even the Morton Maiden played :)

~Watching Bryce and Brendan~
We had such a fun time with the boys! They had a big day of going to the library (which we didn't get any pictures of! :-( (I know.. very un-Morton-ish) and other such things!
Taking the boys to school

After our trip to the library, we went to Wendy's, and the boys got I Spy games with their meals!

Bryce and Mumzie trying out Bryce's new game

Mumzie and I making use of our lovely purse hooks. Daddy was very sweet and bought each us one so we can hang our purses on tables; a much more dignified way of storing a purse while at a restaurant than trying to fumble with it on your lap or the back of your chair!

I Spy Art

After Wendy's, we helped Bryce and Brendan with their homework (such fun! And, no, I'm not being sarcastic :))

We finished off the day with a reading-aloud of "Hank the Cow dog: The Case of the Falling Sky", a very deep book that is scientifically proven to help brain stimulation in children so they will, um, so they will...okay...maybe it's just a really goofy book that is fun to read aloud :D

~Walking~

Mumzie and Daddy

We saw quite a few bee hives!

~Quick Visit~
Aunt A., Cousin D., and Uncle J. stopped by!

D. showing me how he can write "0"

With Spring approaching, flowers peeping through the ground, and grass finally starting to show its face again, I can't help but think of this verse:
"The grass withereth and the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand forever"
Isaiah 40: 8
