Now, what would be a trip to Kohl's without having the sunglass -trying-on event?!

"Do you really dare to take another picture of me?"

(The above must be said with a Madeline Basset voice to achieve the desired affect)

Maidens taking a break

"Don't mess with us!"

Synchronized Maidens

"Who are you lookin' at??"

A movie-action quote

Happy and having fun!

After our break, a set of circumstances lead to someone getting stuck in a fallen tree in the creek. This person shall remain anonymous.

A branch that was in the tree but not connected to the tree was then "stuck" on the kayak.

Yay! The branch was then successfully taken off of the kayak!

Then the next challenge came: turning the boat around! Thankfully, however, this was not as difficult as the first circumstance!

Then, there came the greatest challenge...

Rain. That's right, the Maidens were stuck kayaking in the rain with thunder and lightning all around them. You can imagine the pace with which we started to paddle!

At one point, it was raining very hard.

Finally, we made it home drenched and tired!

Thankfully, sweet Mamma Diane had prepared warm towels and hot chocolate for our drenched and cold bodies!

After using the towels for their original purpose, they became prey to props in photos

Chilled to the bone

Warming up

Mr. Keith, also wet from bringing up the kayaks, prepared a delicious chicken dinner!

  1. Two things... one, with sunglasses, just get some aviators. Hard to go wrong with those.

Two, that entire kayaking episode looks like it was great fun. Sorry, but the part with the strainer were making me laugh pretty hard. That, and also the "who you lookin' at" picture got me laughing again. :D
